CONSIDERING CONFLICT MANAGEMENT STYLES
As an HR professional, it is helpful to consider conflict management styles of each of the parties involved to effectively manage conflict in a workplace situation. Each of the five conflict management styles has the goal of arriving at a resolution through different levels of assertiveness and cooperativeness. Keeping this in mind, for this Discussion, you are asked to take a closer look at and explain each of the five conflict management styles.
DAY 3
Post by Day 3 a cohesive and scholarly response based on your readings and research this week that addresses the following:
Briefly explain each of the five styles or modes for handling conflict as described by Liddle (2017) or a model described within another source from this week’s readings.
Which of the styles do you believe would be most effective at handling conflict? Why?
Which of the styles do you believe would be least effective at handling conflict? Why?
Accepting the premise that the collaborating style is the most effective at managing conflict, describe at least two ways you can enhance your collaborative management style.
